Client
Richard Thompson has brought a 1930s art deco seafront building in the New Forest back to life, incorporating a ground floor café, a restaurant and residential apartment to the first floor, and lastly, a second floor apartment suite. For this final development stage, he decided that a platform home lift would be the optimum choice to provide top floor access.
Problem
Mr Thompson explains, “The lift companies I contacted seemed to offer a similar product and were similarly priced. Price is important but not the deciding factor for me. Good after sales service is vital and, having previously owned a large commercial manufacturing business, I am aware of the difficulties of servicing clients located many miles away. My preference is therefore to work with credible local companies.
Solution
“From my initial enquiry, Evo Lifts immediately struck me as a very professional safe pair of hands to guide me through what I knew was unlikely to be a straightforward installation in a historic building. After a site visit, and with an impressive level of personal contact and interest in the project throughout, I was completely reassured that I was choosing a good company to work with.
“Site requirements required a high degree of accuracy in the construction and positioning of the lift. The technical support I received throughout was invaluable, ensuring a successful installation - and a very happy customer! There have been a couple of times when, as a result of operator error, I have contacted Evo Lifts out of normal working hours for support and, each time, I have received a kind, prompt and expert response.
“I would not hesitate to recommend Evo Lifts to anyone considering installing a home lift; the product is excellent; the installation went very well and the after sales service cannot be faulted.”
