Client:
The Bradwell Centre for Outdoor Learning offers an unrivalled outdoor experience for individuals or groups, ranging from children to corporate clients who can choose either a day trip or residential stay. Haynes & Smith Ltd, a leading local construction company, managed the development of their residential centre to ensure it was compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).
Problem:
The centres residential facilities were all situated on the first floor so, to ensure the building was DDA compliant, a lift was required to give access to everyone. To meet building planning regulations the lift also required some additional modifications.
Solution:
An EVO500H Outdoor Platform Lift was installed to provide disabled access from ground floor to first floor. To meet planning regulations it was enclosed within a structural steel frame overlaid with cladding to match the building’s exterior. Robust and reliable, the lift is fitted with reassuring safety features as standard. Simple to use, the lift has low maintenance and running costs.
